Who we are, what we do, and what happens next
You just spoke with one of our team. Good. Here's everything in one place, so you can check us out on your own time and make the call that's right for you.
We build your claim. You file it.
Many VA claims are denied or rated low because the evidence doesn't clearly connect the condition to the veteran's service. We review your records, find every condition you may be able to claim, and build a complete, ready-to-file claim package with the evidence behind it. Then we walk you through filing it yourself, step by step.
You see every page before anything goes to the VA. You file it. You stay in control of your claim.
Where we stand today
Counts as of November 2026. That's paying clients only. It doesn't count the veterans we've helped for free, which we've always done and still do.
Built by a veteran who's been through it
AI Joe Claims was founded by Erik Menezes, a combat-arms paratrooper who served on active duty with the 82nd Airborne and later in the Army National Guard. He knows the VA claims process from the veteran's side of the table.

What happens, and when
- Day 1
You sign up
You pay the one-time fee and fill out a short intake form so we know your history.
- Next
We build your package
Our team reviews your records and puts together your forms, statement and support letter.
- Then
You review and file
You read it all, ask us anything, and submit it to the VA yourself using our instructions.
- Weeks after filing
C&P exam
The VA usually schedules an exam. Use your prep guide, and call us if you have questions.
- About 2 months
VA decision
On average, our veterans are getting a decision about two months after they file.
- About 3 months
First payment from the VA
Most are seeing their first VA payment about three months after they file. That first payment should include your back pay.
These are averages we're seeing right now, not promises. Every veteran's case is different, and timing depends on your local VA office and how busy it is.
A denial isn't the end. This is where we do our best work.
Follow-up after a VA decision is our bread and butter, and it's what sets us apart. Most companies stop once the first claim is filed. We don't.
Send us your decision letters
Forward every VA decision letter to our support team, the moment it arrives.
The VA shows its cards
A decision letter spells out exactly why the VA said no. We go straight after that specific reason, and explain it to you in plain English.
We build the fix
We do new research and come back with additional evidence that strengthens your claim, packaged in a new supplemental claim (20-0995).
You file again. Repeat.
You review it and resubmit. If the VA comes back with another decision, we run the same play again.
You pay once. We keep working with you, decision after decision, for as long as you want to keep going. You decide when you're done.
Stay in touch with our team. The faster you send us your letters and answer our questions, the faster your claim moves. We pride ourselves on keeping wait times for your documents to a minimum at every step, so the ball stays in your court: you control the timing, based on your own situation.
If we don't hear from you for 6 months, we may close your file. Reach out any time and we'll talk about picking it back up.
Our refund policy, in plain English
If you're unhappy with our service, you can ask for your money back. Here's exactly how it works, straight from our Terms of Use.
- When
- Within 6 months of your purchase date. On a split payment, the clock starts at your first payment.
- How
- Email support@aijoeclaims.com and tell us what went wrong.
- Response
- A real answer within 10 business days. We look at every request individually.
- Amount
- A full or partial refund, depending on how much work we've already delivered.
Refunds are based on our service, not on the VA's decision. The VA alone decides your rating, and we can't control that. After 6 months, your purchase is final, but our support continues.

Know your free options
You can file a VA claim at no cost, and you can always get free help from a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) or a VA-accredited representative. We think you should know that. Veterans come to us when they want a full claim package built for them, for one fair price.
